THERAPY FOR ENGINEERS & TECHNICAL PROFESSIONALS
You care more than people seem to realize.
You know how to solve problems. That doesn't mean you have to solve everything alone.
All new clients begin with a free 15-minute consultation.
SOUND FAMILIER?Being called cold when you are not cold.
You know how much you actually care. And you keep watching that care arrive as something else entirely.
“You solve, because that's how you show up for people. It's received as not listening.”
“You're precise, and precision reads as criticism.”
“You go quiet, not because you don't care, but because you don't have the answer yet.”
“You can run a room of senior stakeholders and lose your footing at your own kitchen table..”
“You hold everything together publicly and come apart privately.”
“You achieved what you set out to achieve and felt strangely little.”
None of this means something is wrong with you. Nobody handed you the other manual.
WHY I GET ITI spent nine years as an engineer.
The technical answer was almost never the hard part. The people were. I watched brilliant engineers get labeled difficult for being direct, and capable people burn out quietly because they always delivered.
Then it happened to me. A layoff and a breakup in the same season showed me I had built external security and none inside. My own therapist got me through it. That's why I do this now.
When your partner says you argue like you're running a design review, I'm not translating from a textbook. I've been in the room, on both sides of it.

FOR MY FELLOW ENGINEERSYou learned to be an engineer.
You can learn anything.
Emotions have inputs, thresholds, and predictable failure modes. This is a skillset you were never taught, not a personality transplant.
Find the pattern
We map what's actually happening: the patterns underneath the reactions, where they came from, and what they're protecting.
Learn the skills
Language for what you're feeling. Staying in hard conversations. A clearer read on what you actually want.
Measure the change
Existential and cognitive behavioral approaches, with goals concrete enough that you can tell whether they're working.
This is not about optimizing you. You're already optimized.
WHO I WORK WITHI am passionate about working with…
Engineers, cybersecurity & technical specialists
High expectations, analytical environments, and the pressure to always have the answer.
Project managers & team leaders
Accountable for outcomes you don't fully control.
Executives, founders & entrepreneurs
Decision fatigue, identity wrapped up in the work, and the cost of carrying a lot.
Academics, physicians & attorneys
Work where mistakes feel catastrophic and asking for help feels like a liability.
If your work asks a great deal, you're in the right place.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions people ask me.
-
Therapy has a default style: reflective, open-ended, trusting that insight will surface if you sit with a feeling long enough. That works for a lot of people. If it hasn't worked for you, the format may not have matched how you process information. My clients tend to want the emotional work and a clear sense of where we're going, and I don't think you have to choose.
-
Direct. I'll tell you what I notice, including things that are uncomfortable to hear. The work needs both: real warmth and someone willing to say the true thing. Some sessions will be hard. I'm in it with you.
-
It depends on what you're bringing. Some people finish in a few months, others go deeper and stay longer. We start weekly, evaluate as we go, and space sessions out as things improve. You'll always know what we're working toward.
-
No. The people I work with share a mindset more than a job title.
